Milk is known to be the prime food vital for little babies, particularly the infants. There are special options accessible for feeding a little baby. During his first few months from birth, a baby can be nourished by means of two common ways – breast feeding and bottle or formula feeding.
While many people said, “Breast milk is best for babies up to two years”, others deem that formula milk can also proffer paramount nourishment to infants in various ways. Yet, it is true that breast milk is certainly best for babies because of the several benefits it could give to the baby. Not to mention that development of a special bond between the mother and the child. However, this would also depend much on the mother’s physical condition.
Nevertheless, bottle feeding can also bestow several advantages both to the mother and the child in some ways, distinct from the breast feeding option.
Two Major Apparent Benefits of Baby Bottle Feeding
- A Wide Variety of Bottle Feeding Options
Bottle feeding does not only mean formula milk feeding. Instead, it also another approach of breast milk feeding. In fact, a mother can feed her infant with her breast milk, but this time utilizing a baby bottle.
This is made doable by the breast pumping method, to fabricate milk which will then be transferred into a baby bottle for feeding. She can also refrigerate superfluous breast milk and keep this for later servings. This is an option to hoard time and effort from breast pumping.
Alternate bottle feeding is also another option for mothers and babies. Mother then can feed the baby with formula and breast milk thru bottle feeding, every other feeding time. This entails that babies can still be nourished by both milks, necessary for their rapid growth and development.
- Milk-Intake Awareness
Because of the visible markings indicating measurements printed in baby bottles, a mother would find it easier to keep track on the total milk intake of her baby, everyday.
Baby bottle feeding with either formula or breast milk is beneficial when a mother would need others to feed her baby, especially when she is not around. This is another good pro for mothers for they can let the father, grannies, and/or older siblings to feed the little baby, in times when they have some important jobs to attend to. However, mothers should only let trusted persons handle such responsibility, as not to put the baby’s safety in jeopardy.
Furthermore, mothers may also bottle feed their babies in any place, without having much obscurity or qualms of the many possible occurrences when breastfeeding.
What is more imperative with bottle feeding is the guarantee of same or even extra nutrients a baby can obtain than from breast feeding.
Mothers should always prioritize their baby’s health, especially during these times when absolute nourishment is essential to cope up with their body’s fragility. Remember that proper sustenance is constantly promising either with breast or formula milk, breastfeeding or baby bottle feeding options.

Hi Clerissa,
Thanks for the compliment.
Well, I also believe that breast milk is best for babies especially those who are two years old and under.
However, there are also times when a mother should teach her baby to feed through feeding bottles. This is to ensure proper nourishment for the baby in cases like the mother will be out of milk.
Thanks for Visiting Clerissa.
